How we hosted our first ever dinner - all in the name of Azaadi <3

How we hosted our first ever dinner - all in the name of Azaadi <3

My husband and I hosted our first ever dinner on the 14th of August, and called it the 'Azaadi Dinner' since it was a celebration of Pakistan's Independence! :D

We decorated our outdoor area, drawing room and dining room entirely with lights, balloons and flags with an overarching green and white theme. It took us two days to set the entire place up! We even set up a proper flag pole on our roof top, which was meant to happen anyway (dinner or no dinner)

We had about 30 guests show up the dinner, so it was COMPLETELY LIT. The more the merrier! We gave each guest a flag badge to wear on their shirt lol and everyone complied! :D We had everyone sit in the drawing room and when most people had arrived we conducted some games for entertainment!

We divided everyone into 4 teams, and played Heads up and a Trivia Quiz. Everything in heads up was also, obviously Pakistan related and so were all the questions in the quiz. It's safe to say that everyone went back having learned much more about Pakistan than they came with! :p

What made the dinner even better was the fact that everyone followed the theme. We had everyone wearing eastern clothing and follow green and white! I think it makes a huge difference when people participate just as much as you do, and share the same spirit. So I was thrilled to see all our friends following the theme and showing so much support! :)
